Talking Book and Braille Library offering summer reading program with prizes – WBIW

INDIANA—Talking Book and Braille Library patrons are invited to join the library’s all-ages, toddler-to-adult summer reading program, “Color Our World.” Books can be borrowed from the library in braille, large print, and digital audio formats. Participants can also download digital audiobooks and braille files from the BARD website or via the BARD mobile app, available from the iTunes App Store, the Google Play Store, or the Amazon App Store.
Any book borrowed from the library within the time frame will count toward a participant’s summer reading total. Only books borrowed from the Talking Book and Braille Library or downloaded from BARD will count toward a reader’s total.
Anyone interested in enrolling can complete this application. If an application is late getting to the library, the sender is still eligible to be a summer reader.
After enrolling, participants will be sent a game board of summer activities. Beginning Monday, June 9, participants should checkmark each activity once completed. The game board should be returned to Abby Chumin, librarian, at the address below by Friday, August 1, in exchange for fun prizes.
The Talking Book and Braille Library will distribute materials throughout the program, including prizes, activity sheets, crafts, and more.
